Hi! I am Shreya & welcome to Sweet Sequel. I am a self-taught baker and actively took to it as a new mother, wanting to introduce healthy dessert to my child. It’s been a slow journey with a lot of trials with new cooking methods and ingredients. Over time I have had the urge to share my love for making wholesome plant-based treats, that everyone can enjoy.

Why the name?

I grew up in a Bunt family, seeing my father very passionately build Woodland Retreat, a vegetarian restaurant thriving in Thane for the past 28 years. It is a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves very traditional Indian desserts. I do believe food is very personal and I had this distinctive bend towards wholesome plant-based desserts. The name Sweet Sequel came into being as offering plant-based desserts to our customers could be a sweet sequel to our family restaurant. 

 

It also comes into being from this need to step into my own light and be courageous to try something new on my own/share my passion with you.

Sweet Sequel

Sweet sequel is a home kitchen born out of a longing to provide clean, healthy, preservative free, wholesome and quality plant-based desserts. Our aim is to encourage everyone to try plant-based desserts because we believe that they are equally delicious and at par with traditional dessert choices. Through Sweet Sequel I would like to you to indulge in deserts guiltfree. I cannot imagine life without chocolate and be assured of finding it most of our desserts!
